About the Lyceum
Arystan Specialized Lyceum
A military-technology lyceum for boys in grades 9–11. Open since January 2011 in Beskainar village near Almaty.
History
How the Lyceum took shape
2011
The Lyceum opened in Beskainar village near Almaty.
2013
The first class graduated: 79 people, with an average UNT score of 92.57.
2014
Graduates founded the Lyceum Graduates Association.
2021
The Lyceum’s tenth anniversary. Over ten years: 717 cadets, 35 certificates with distinction, 16 Altyn Belgi awards.
2022
Lieutenant General (Reserve) Murat Maikeev became head of the Lyceum.
2024
The twelfth class graduated. Over thirteen years, more than 900 cadets have passed through the Lyceum.
2026
The fourteenth class graduated.

Murat Zhalelovich Maikeev
Lieutenant General (Reserve), head of the Lyceum since 2022.
Sabit Saumenovich Taulanov
Major General (Reserve), first head of the Lyceum (2011–2022). Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, professor. Elected an Honorary Member of the Graduates Association in 2022.
The Lyceum has a Board of Trustees. Its membership and powers are a matter for the Lyceum.
