By the Association’s third annual meeting, graduates of the first intakes had completed higher military schools. For the first time, the Lyceum spoke of its officers rather than of cadets or students.
The first fifteen Arystan officers came from the Military Institute of the Land Forces, the Border Service Academy of the National Security Committee, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Military Institute of the Air Defence Forces. One graduate completed the United States Naval Academy, and another was awarded the “El Korgany” medal, 2nd class.
The list of names was published on the Lyceum’s website. It is not reproduced here: the Association publishes graduates’ surnames, ranks and places of service only with their written consent.
It was also by this meeting that the tradition became firmly established: the Association’s regular meetings take place on the last Sunday of September.
